Online Quilt Stores
Below are links to some of the online stores where we shop. They all have online catalogs of their inventory with swatches and a wide variety of quality fabrics. They all seem to carry their items in stock, ship fast and are competitively priced with local stores (after factoring shipping).
If you are interested in selecting the fabrics for your quilt design, we recommend picking from these sites. This will significantly increase our ability to locate and secure the fabrics you desire. Please note that you should almost always let us purchase the fabric you select. We need to design the quilt before specifying quantities of material and we will probably spend less in the end.
Material Pleasure is a local quilt shop in Morgan Hill with a well established online business. They have a lot of Moda and Batiks. A very close source, they can be extremely useful when designing projects on tight deadlines.
Always Quilting is in nearby San Mateo and has an online store. Lots of Moda, Michael Miller and Robert Kaufman. This is one of Patty's favorite stores. Its about 25 miles away, so we don't go often.
Fibers and Stitches is in St. Helens Oregon (fast shipping with No Sales Tax!). They currently have a good selection of Moda Marble and Michael Miller Fairy Frost.
Bear Paw Quilt Company is in Flora Illinois. Their catalog has a great index and they currently have lots of Michael Miller and Robert Kaufman fabrics.
Mountain View Quilt Shoppe is located in Billings Montana. They currently have a good Michael Miller selection and feature backing fabrics (extra wide) for a nice one-piece look.
eQuilter.com is a Boulder Colorado store with Minky and lots of specialty fabrics.
Thread in Hand Quilt Shop is in Candia New Hampshire. Wide selection, but many bad links on their pages.
J and O Fabrics is in Pennsauken New Jersey. This is a fabric store, not a quilt shop. As a result, they have fabrics of all types and some are not suitable for quilting. Web sight is also a little hard to navigate and could be overwhelming.
